You know how in my last blog post I said I wouldn't mind going through a wicked storm?
(insert cliche' statement here)
I just have pictures of the aftermath. No way were you going to get me to open a door and snap away at the 50-mph hour winds. Plus I was too scared sitting in the basement to even think about sending pictures back home.
After the storm subsided I was okay and then went about my day. Then I decided just to take a look outside.
Question, "Have you ever seen a half of a tree laying down in your front yard?"
More pictures are going to be on Facebook simply because the image uploader hates me.
Wheat Harvest
3x20=60.
Sixty is the approximate numbers of grain trucks that were lined up at the AG Mark elevator waiting to drop their loads of newly clipped wheat.
It definitely was a sight to see and I wished I would have had my camera with me.
I am not going to lie my first experiences with the wheat fields made me feel like a city girl.
I loved watching the tall stalks turn from bright green to a beautiful golden in a matter of weeks.
Seeing the wind roll the wheat gave new appreciation to the lyric, "amber waves of grain"
I was able to pick some wheat right from a field and examine it and dissect it and find the kernel. Which are still in the bottom of my purse.
I felt very fortunate to be here when the wheat harvest was going on and be able to see something new.
Another cliche' statement
Time is going by so fast!
I am staring Week 7 of "Internship Concordia" on Monday.
July is going to be a very busy month:
SMART Board training
Youth Group Kick-off July 12th. (Be in prayer for this please)
Youth Group events
and
Normal Internship Stuff
God has provided me so much this summer and gave me so many learning opportunities.
My continued favorite is going to the Senior Center on Tuesday's and having lunch. They keep asking me, "Are you old enough to be here?" I enjoy them so much. :)
Words I can't spell
Long list today. I attribute it to typing fast.
opportunites, fourtunate, appreciation, bueatiful, kernel, stalks, expirences, definiantly, approxamite
I don't know why I do this but I think its fun. In a 'I'm stupid' sort of way.
Thanks for reading!
